Your privacy is the most important thing for us. For this reason, Summ respects your privacy in every possible way. What information we keep, and how we use them are outlined below. But, let us start with few principles.
As of July 25, 2024, this document acts as a temporary draft for Summ's privacy policy.
We do not share your personal or business data with any third party other than for authentication and payment services. We do not keep any granular data regarding the emails you sent to your unique Summ email address for summarization purposes.
Summ is designed to ensure minimal data retention. Once we send an email consisting of your summaries, all data of your emails is immediately removed from our servers, and only analytics data is kept. Details on the analytics data we keep and how we use it are described below.
When you visit https://www.summ.email or use our services, our authentication services and web servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser, which may include your computer’s IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and the time of your visit, the time spent on each page, and such. In addition, we may keep your authentication data to enhance your account security.
For Summ to provide the best service possible, we need some information:
- Your full name: We use your full name to personalize your summaries, and provide them at a greater quality.
- Your emails: Summ generates summaries of the emails you sent to your unique Summ email address. The AI engine we use has a zero-day data retention policy, meaning that your emails will not be used to train it. As we believe that establishing trust is the most important factor for Summ's success, we aim to follow the best security practices we can do within our capabilities.
- Payment information: Our third party payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, handles your payment, and may keep your payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms of service. We do not have access to your full payment information.
We keep two kinds of product analytics data to improve our services, and we do not sell any of those data.
- E-mail data: Includes message-id, word input, word output, token stats, summarization time, and process succeeded/failed, and summary. This data is encrypted and retained only temporarily until session data is generated.
- Session data: Includes session date and time, time saved, email count, trigger consumed, total word input, total word output, token stats, and session duration. This data does not contain any information that could identify you or read your emails.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security. However, we are committed to provide the best data security within our best capabilities. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us at admin@summ.email.
